Microblading is a unique process designed to benefit anyone who desires enhanced eyebrow definition, whether it’s to fill-in thin areas, extend the arch, or fully reconstruct the eyebrow’s appearance if there is sparse / light-colored / no hair.
Microblading treatments are performed by manually depositing pigment into the skin to create “strands” of hair. Each stroke is done individually, which allows Microblading expert Rachel Mitton to create the specific shape, color and density of “hairs” to blend into your existing eyebrow.
The treatment is so highly customized that even the thickness of each individual hair can be adjusted to match your natural hairs, allowing your microblading results to look extremely natural.
The treatment begins with deciding the desired eyebrow shape, and then “mapping” the area. A topical numbing-cream will be applied to the area to make the process as comfortable as possible.
The choice of hair-color will be specific to you.
The shade is custom-mixed using a natural selection of semi-permanent micro-pigments to complement your hair-color and skin-tone.
Immediately after treatment, eyebrows will appear darker than expected. However, this will fade 50% over the following 2-weeks as the healing process progresses.
Your follow-up Microblading appointment should take place 6-weeks after your initial treatment to ensure that everything is going as desired, and at this time any touch-ups will be performed.
Results last about 12-months before naturally fading away.
To keep the color crisp, a touch-up treatment is recommended at least every 2-years depending on the individual’s skin and how well it holds the pigment. (Results will last the longest if proper aftercare instruction are maintained. Rachel will review all of this with you!)
The treatment is typically a 2-step application process.
- Your initial appointment with Rachel usually includes the consultation and initial application, and can take up to 4-hours.
- The second appointment, 6-weeks later, is to perform any touch-ups and make sure all is going as intended.
