Choosing the best treatment for you depends on your personal preferences and individual skin concerns.
Thermage and Morpheus8 RF microneedling both utilize radiofrequency technology to stimulate collagen production and improve skin texture. Beyond that, the services are very different.
The Difference Between Morpheus8 and Thermage
Morpheus8 combines radiofrequency waves with traditional microneedling. Dozens of small needles “stamp” the skin, creating micro-injuries. This controlled damage stimulates the body’s healing process, boosting collagen and elastin production.
Thermage utilizes this same healing process to support new collagen and elastin production through non-invasive methods (it does not puncture the skin).
Thermage has minimal downtime compared to Morpheus8. Many patients can resume their day normally following a Thermage appointment. Morpheus8 patients may need up to 3 to 5 days of recovery time, and pinkness and swelling are common side effects of this treatment.
Morpheus8 improves skin tone as well as texture, reducing the appearance large pore size, fine lines and wrinkles, and rough skin texture. Thermage does not target pigmentation, making it safe for all skin tones.
The Choice Is Yours
Morpheus8 and Thermage target different skin concerns, but both utilize the body’s natural healing process. Neither is necessarily better, it’s just a matter of which one will cater more to the results you’re personally looking for.
